Neurology Resident Summit in Multiple Sclerosis

Background
The goal of the ACTRIMS Neurology Resident Summit is to primarily educate fourth-year medical students, PGY-2 and/or PGY-3 residents about:

  • State of the art MS therapeutics and research
  • Opportunities for training in fellowship programs
  • The spectrum of careers that are attainable in MS research and clinical practice

The Resident Summit, chaired by Dr. Benjamin Segal, provides a historical perspective on the management of MS, an overview of future directions in MS therapeutics, expert panel discussions, and networking opportunities to discuss careers in clinical and investigate neuroimmunology.

Reflections from Past Attendees
“I enjoyed feeling like I could explore MS/neuroimmunology in a comprehensive manner. There was so much within the field that I wasn't aware of. It completely opened my eyes to opportunities to participate in research, education, and showed me the array of job opportunities in the field.”

“The program was really complete and interesting, all of the talks had actualized and useful information. Social events were perfect too.”

“It was educational and most appreciated that lectures covered the foundational concepts and science of MS/ pharmacology and research. It was such an honor to hear about MS from leaders in this field, to

brain storm and have mentoring from those who can provide accurate direction. The leaders in this field were so supportive and embracing of the next generation of MS specialists which was incredibly inspiring.”
