ACTRIMS is Board-directed, non-membership, non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Wisconsin. ACTRIMS is recognized by the IRS as a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The purpose of ACTRIMS is to provide leadership in the field of multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases.

Administration
Organization and logistical support for ACTRIMS meetings is provided by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (USA) in collaboration with the MS Society of Canada.
